Kenny Lane is a happily married father of 4 to his wife Heather (yes, his morning show partner). He’s a 1990 graduate of Shikellamy High School in Sunbury, PA. He played percussion in his high school marching band and participated in and won many competitions. They even got to march and perform in the Orange Bowl parade, Disney World, and even performed a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
He is a second generation radio broadcaster, and grew up listening to his dad on the radio. Perhaps that’s where he got bit by the broadcasting bug. He spent many childhood days with his father in radio stations where he was exposed to what it was like to be on the radio.
He got his start at a radio station in Bloomsburg, PA at the age of seventeen, and since then has worked at several stations with formats ranging from Big Band to Oldies, Easy Listening, Country and Classic Hits at stations in Pennsylvania and Sorth Carolina. It took him almost 20 years in the business before he landed at 95.3 The Bridge, but this is where he feels at home, playing the music from his youth.
In addition to music, Kenny also enjoys broadcasting local athletics and has been all over the state following local high school teams as well as Mansfield University sports.
Sports are also his passion outside of radio. Listeners are well aware that he is an avid New York Mets and Denver Broncos fan. He also enjoys playing golf recreationally, bowling on a Monday night league, and attending any professional sporting event.
In his spare time, Kenny also loves to travel and attend Classic Rock concerts. He and Heather both agree that the beach is where they belong, and dream of someday retiring at the shore.
Heather was born and raised in Troy, PA and graduated from Troy High School in 1998. She then attended Shippensburg University studying early childhood education until she realized that it wasn’t for her. Her love and passion was art and design so she became a professional kitchen, bath and room designer in Harrisburg, PA. She moved back to Troy in 2005 where she finished her bachelors and master’s degrees in criminal justice with a concentration in human trafficking. By chance, she took a job with Wiggle 100 radio the fall of 2005. Her only job at the time was as an account executive, but once the company started 95.3 The Bridge, she became a regular guest star on Kenny Lane’s show.
Kenny and Heather have been doing the morning show full time together since the winter of 2005. They were married in February of 2007 and are raising four children together.
Heather still loves art and her lifelong dream is to visit the Louvre in Paris, France, as well as travelling all over Europe to take in all of the art and architecture of the great European artists. In addition to art, she also enjoys reading, travelling, movies and party planning. She has also been known to binge watch streaming TV shows all weekend (but who hasn’t?).
She is also a techie junkie and likes to get her hands on any piece of technology or gadget she can.
In addition to radio, she is also the Competitive Spirit coach for Troy High School and sits on the board of the Trojan Booster Club.
When she’s not busy at one of her many commitments, she can be found cheering on her three daughters who actively participate in band, chorus, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, track, basketball and softball.
One busy lady, that can’t wait to retire to the Caribbean.
